| PamGene and Olympus strengthen partnership | | | ’s-Hertogenbosch (The Netherlands), Oct 11, 2002. Dutch biotechnology firm PamGene International B.V. announced today that it signed a 5-year consumable supply agreement with Olympus Optical Co. Ltd., arranging Product specifications, transfer-prices and product delivery. Signing this agreement clearly indicates PamGene’s change from a research organization to a product organization.
In addition, PamGene grants Olympus Optical Co. Ltd. a license to market and sell PamGene’s 4-array platform technology to corporate R & D departments and corporate laboratories in Japan and Asia, in supplement to the global academic market. "Securing product quality and deliveries and getting the rights to sell to pharma/biotech in Japan and Asia gives Olympus a solid start in this fast growing market," says Mr. Yanagisawa, Director of Olympus" Genomic Medical Business Project.
