Business Alliance Team of biotechnology company, PamGene, completed by appointment Vice President Business Development and Business Manager for Partnership Olympus

J.A.M. (Hans) van Beek (40) PhD. is recently appointed as Vice President Business Development of PamGene International BV. He will become responsible for the closing of new partnerships with pharmaceutical and biotech companies. The collaborations are aimed at increasing the commercial applications of the patented PamChipTM systems. Van Beek was Business Manager of Crystallics, a technology based biotech company in the field of Pharmaceuticals. Van Beek: "I was attracted by the idea of working for a young company, that is targeting a young and growing field, and is offering a truly innovative technology".

In the function of Business Manager N. (Nadia) Danhash (38), PhD. will further develop the partnership with Olympus Optical Co. Ltd., a Japanese firm. The Olympus-PamGene partnership involves the development, manufacture and distribution of products based on PamGene and Olympus" proprietary technologies. Danhash started her career as a biochemist and most recently employed at Amersham Pharmacy Biotech in England and the US. Danhash: "I am very much looking forward to working with Olympus to combine PamGene’s wealth of industrial experience and scientific expertise to market innovative products that will revolutionise the microarray field."

Other disciplines represented in the Business Alliance Team are: marketing, finance, manufacturing, science and operations. Both employees started their new jobs October
1st 2001.
